TPS BEANIE DAY FOR BRAIN CANCER
Story
My brother fell ill on 10 December 2021 (Aged 70) He had 2 siezures & was sent to hospital. After many scans it was evident that he had a Stage 4 GBM -aggresive brain tumour. He was operated on in Sydney to remove the tumour, but they were unable to take it all. He underwent Radiation & chemotherapy in Wagga Wagga Cancer centre. The family found that the chemo was too severe on his quality of life & ceased treatment in August 2022. He is still with us & resides at our local nursing home. He is really quiet good & fighting this awful disease head on & with his strong attitude. We have not had any more scans & letting nature take its course.
I did a fund raiser last year at our local Public School, where I work in Admin. It was a great success as it gets very very cold in this area & all the children were happy to slap on a beanie & a scarf for the day. We also did a Jelly Bean count. It was so much fun for everyone
